Brian Friedman is a trailblazer and entrepreneur who opened his first dance studio at just 16 years old. His breakthrough as a dancer came with the 1992 film "Newsies." Shortly after, he became a standout star on the cult favorite Disney show Kids Incorporated, alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt and the late Brittany Murphy. As one of the industry's most sought-after dancers, his film appearances include Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, You Got Served, She's All That, Austin Powers in Goldmember, and Uptown Girls. Brian has also performed with legendary music icons such as Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Janet Jackson, Prince, Paula Abdul, and many others.
Brian quickly rose to prominence as a highly demanded choreographer, contributing to shows like Dancing with The Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, Will & Grace, The Tonight Show, Late Night, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Oprah, MTV VMAs, VH1 Divas Live, American Music Awards, and Billboard Music Awards. He has creatively directed and choreographed for artists including Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Ciara, Mariah Carey, Usher, P!nk, Nicole Scherzinger, Ne-Yo, Christina Aguilera, One Direction, Cher, Todrick Hall, Normani, Melanie Martinez, and Sam Smith. Simon Cowell selected him to collaborate on several of his major projects, involving judging, choreographing, creative directing, and producing The X Factor (US and UK), America's Got Talent, and Britain's Got Talent.
Brian Friedman has earned numerous nominations for the MTV VMAs, MVPA Awards, and the American Choreography Award for Outstanding Achievement in Choreography. His accolades include two Universal Dance Awards for Best Choreography in Digital Content for Portugal. The Man's "Feel It Still," a 2016 World of Dance Award for Male Choreographer of the Year, a 2011 Industry Voice Award for Best Choreography in a Music Video for Britney Spears' "Till the World Ends," the 2006 London Choreographers Carnival Achievement Award, and Convention of the Year for The Main Event, which he created and produced. Brian’s entrepreneurial drive remains strong as he continues to innovate and develop new ventures in the dance industry.
