Born on July 28, 1979, in Porto Alegre, Brazil, Davi de Oliveira Pinheiro is the producer behind the documentary series Boundaries of Thought, featuring personalities such as Peter Greenaway, Michel Houellebecq, Pierre Levy, and Camille Paglia. The series includes four episodes: Crossroad (2008), Digital (2008), Architects of Thought (2008), and Chaos and Order (2008). Davi also produced the five-episode online documentary series Think Thank, which includes appearances by David Lynch, Wim Wenders, Philip Glass, and others. Notable works from this series include Back to Room 666 (2008), starring Wenders and awarded by the Brazilian Film Academy, and The Soul Detective, written and directed by Davi and starring David Lynch.
His debut fiction feature film, Beyond the Grave (2011), which he directed, wrote, and produced, is a fantasy-themed movie that received international recognition. It was selected for the Sitges International Film Festival (Spain) and won the Best Horror Feature Award at both the Arizona Underground Film Festival (USA) and the Winter Film Awards (USA). Additionally, it earned the Audience Choice Award for Best Latin American Feature at Montevideo Fantástico (Uruguay) and was named Most Cool Film at Pollygrind Las Vegas (USA). The film was produced by his company, Lockheart Filmes Ltda.
