Andrew was raised in Orange County, California, and attended UCLA. Although accepted into the MFA Directing Program, he left to pursue a career in film. He wrote the award-winning play "She Loves Him, He Loves Her Not," published by StageScripts in the UK. His debut short film, "Lifemate," a slapstick comedy, was featured for several years on Funny or Die. His second short, the sci-fi thriller "4-Sighted," was showcased at multiple film festivals. In 2006, Andrew teamed up with friends Dawn Higginbotham and Brooke P. Anderson to write the indie dramedy feature "Off The Ledge," which Cordova Pictures produced within a year. He collaborated with Renee O'Connor on R.O.C. Pictures' comedy web series "5 Ways...," where they co-wrote, directed, shot, and edited special comedy sketches for Xena: Warrior Princess fans. Alongside best friend Chad Anderson, Andrew founded Stinky Kitty Productions and produced the TV pilot "Singled Out," which was an Official Selection at the 2016 Irvine International Film Festival in the Television Pilot Competition. His first horror screenplay, "Crossbow Creek," won Best Horror awards at the Hollywood Blood, Hollywood Horrorfest, and Austin After Dark Film Festivals and earned top placements in competitions such as Shockfest, Breaking Walls Thriller Competition, Olympus Film Festival, Page Turner's First 10 Page Competition, Screencraft Horror Feature Film Screenplay Competition, and was an Official Selection at Horror Films in Hotlanta and Oregon Scream Week. Andrew's comedy/fantasy TV pilot script "Venus" won the Grand Prize in Filmmaker Magazine's inaugural TV Script Writing Competition and Best Short Comedy at the Atlanta Comedy Film Festival, also gaining recognition from Shore Scripts, Inroads Fellowship, Olympus Film Festival, Film Empire, and others. His most recent short film, "Crumble," has secured three Best Horror Short awards and earned accolades at various international film festivals.
