Britain Simons was born in Durango, Colorado, to Kelly Roelke, a photographer, and David Simons, an architect. He has an older sister named Gentry Simons. Without any ties to the entertainment industry, Britain steadily built a career as an actor, online educator, and content creator on social media, amassing a community of over 323K followers.
At 14, Britain auditioned for his first theater production to overcome a fear of public speaking. While pursuing scholarships, he found his passion in regional theater and sang with the Carnegie Hall Singers in New York City. In 2010, he received a full-ride Daniels Fund scholarship to attend Baylor University, where he chose to study theater performance and design, diverging from his family's architectural and engineering background.
He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater Studies from Baylor University in 2014. He also studied at The National Theatre Institute (NTI) at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in Connecticut and briefly trained in St. Petersburg, Russia, at The State Theater Arts Academy through a partnership with NTI. During his education, he performed in regional theater productions, including playing Romeo in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
Starting in 2014, Britain began working in film, television, and commercials. In Los Angeles, he trained with John Kirby, a coach known for working with actors like Jim Caviezel and Cameron Diaz. His early commercial work included spots for Toyota's Concept-i future vehicle and the War Dragons gaming app. He appeared in music videos such as Calum Scott's "Dancing on My Own," which has over 551 million views, Bleachers' "Alfie's Song" from the movie Love, Simon (2018), and others.
Britain made his television debut in the Lifetime movie Online Abduction (2015) alongside Brooke Butler, directed by Steven R. Monroe. He appeared in series like Murder Book (2015), Unusual Suspects (2010), and played Prince Ben in Disney's Descendants: School of Secrets (2015), which premiered on the Disney Channel to promote the summer movie event Descendants (2015). In 2016, he played Handsome Boy in the critically praised horror film Holidays, directed by Kevin Kölsch. He portrayed Patrick in the short film Prom (2016), written and produced by Hasan Minhaj, inspired by Minhaj's high school experiences. Britain also voiced the lead character Daichi in the Ultraman 50th anniversary film Ultraman X: Here He Comes! Our Ultraman (2016), a well-known Japanese production.
More recently, Britain has appeared in the series Penny Dreadful: City of Angels (2020) and That '90s Show (2023). He has built a social media following of over 42K across platforms including TikTok and features in commercials for Motorola, 5 Hour Energy, and as the Badge Badger in State Farm advertisements.
