Biyografi
Lino Guanciale was born in Avezzano, Italy, on May 21, 1979. He graduated in 2003 from the Accademia d'arte drammatica "Silvio d'Amico," where he received the Gassman Prize as Best Actor of the preceding decade. Right after graduation, he began his theatre career, performing with Gigi Proietti in Romeo e Giulietta, the opening production at Rome's Silvano Toti Globe Theatre.
His career quickly expanded, leading him to work with renowned figures in Italian theatre such as Luca Ronconi (Atti di guerra), Walter Le Moli (Gli incostanti, Antigone), Massimo Popolizio, and Michele Placido. Placido later cast him as Nunzio in the acclaimed film Angel of Evil (2010) after directing him in the play Fontamara.
Since 2005, Lino has also been teaching theatre through classes and workshops in middle schools, high schools, and universities. He made his film debut in 2008 portraying Mozart in Io, Don Giovanni (2009), directed by Carlos Saura, followed by The Front Line (2009). In 2011, along with appearing in Vallanzasca, he took roles in The Jewel (2011) by Andrea Molaioli as Filippo Magnaghi, an honest executive troubled by his company’s fraud; Marina Spada's My Tomorrow (2011); and the Rai1 television series Palermo Connection (2011), directed by Renato De Maria.
His filmography also includes Woody Allen’s To Rome with Love (2012), La scoperta dell'alba (2012) by Susanna Nicchiarelli, and Wondrous Boccaccio (2015) by Paolo and Vittorio Taviani, alongside a fruitful collaboration with musician and director Davide Cavuti in Un'avventura romantica (2016), Preghiera per la vita (2020), Lectura Ovidii (2019), and Un marziano di nome Ennio (2022).
On television, he has earned both popular and critical acclaim starring in series such as The Family (2012), The Lady with the Black Veil (2015), The Good Apprentice (2016), The Red Door (2017), Inspector Ricciardi (2021), and Noi (2022), the Italian adaptation of the American series This Is Us (2016).
