Isabel Serrano is a Spanish-American actress and writer with a career spanning over 35 years. She began as a dancer in 1987 and transitioned to acting in 1988, gaining international recognition through her role in the television series Brigada Central. In 2008, she moved to London to study at The Actors Centre of London. By 2012, she relocated to Los Angeles, where she further honed her craft at prestigious institutions including The Beverly Hills Playhouse, Ivana Chubbuck Studio, and The Actor’s Gang. Serrano has worked under the direction of John Malkovich, John Finn, Bobby Moresco, and Álex de la Iglesia. Her collaboration with Malkovich in the play "Hysteria" allowed her to adopt new acting techniques, enriching her performance style and bringing fresh perspectives to theater. These partnerships with renowned artists have advanced her career and contributed to the artistic diversity within the industry. On stage, she has performed in notable productions such as Don Juan Tenorio, The Mousetrap, and El Mágico Prodigioso. She has appeared in over 20 television series across Spain, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela. Her international experience has enhanced her versatility and skill as a performer. Alongside acting, Serrano pursued creative writing studies in Spain and later specialized in playwriting and screenwriting at Santa Monica College. As a screenwriter and director, she has published plays including Darling, Since You Are Up Anyway..., and Never Without You. Darling, Since You Are Up Anyway... was self-directed and produced in the prestigious Short and Sweet Hollywood Latino contest, earning critical acclaim for its originality and emotional impact. Her works are celebrated for their audience connection and positive reception at theater festivals. Additionally, she has written short films such as Aha!, All Plants Were Dry, Susana’s Confession, and Darling, Since You Are Up....
