Shae LeRae Smolik is an American actress renowned for her vibrant energy and emotional depth, which bring her characters vividly to life on screen. A natural performer with an exceptional work ethic, Shae possesses a photographic memory, enabling her to memorize entire scripts within hours. She responds exceptionally well to direction, easily making adjustments as needed. With a dynamic and precocious personality, Shae lights up any room with her smile. Her remarkable facial expressions have earned praise from many directors seeking the perfect on-screen look.
Shae is the youngest of five siblings. Her father, Mark Smolik, is a surgeon, and her mother, Jaime Smolik, is a physician assistant. Originally from a small rural town in Iowa, she now lives in Los Angeles.
Shae began her career as a model at age six with an agency in Iowa before transitioning to commercials. Driven by her passion for performing, she secured representation in the larger Chicago market. Recognizing her extraordinary talent, her Iowa agent encouraged her to move to Los Angeles for greater opportunities. Within her first few months there, Shae was cast as a principal in a national Tide commercial, instantly becoming SAG eligible. She soon landed lead roles in short films, web series, and additional national commercials. Her feature film debut was in the dramatic and emotional role opposite Elisabeth Röhm in Trafficked (I) (2016). Recently, she completed two exciting projects: the lead in the horror/thriller tentatively titled The Hatred, produced by Malek Akkad, and the drama Pursued, directed by Doug Campbell.
Shae has trained with top acting coaches in Los Angeles to refine her skills and continues to develop her craft daily. A dedicated student, she is homeschooled to accommodate her busy schedule of on-set work and auditions.
Beyond her acting talents, Shae is a skilled gymnast, dancer, singer, and horseback rider. An extroverted thrill-seeker, she eagerly embraces new challenges. Shae is represented by Brad Diffley of Mavrick Artists.
