Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens are a writing and producing duo with credits in television across the United States, Canada, and Australia. They received the Constellation Award for "Outstanding Canadian Contribution to Science Fiction Film or Television" for creating the series Primeval: New World.
In genre media, they served as writer/producers on the fourth season of Star Trek: Enterprise. AintItCool praised their episode "The Forge" as "not only the best episode of Enterprise, but the best episode of Star Trek." Well-known within the Star Trek community, they have authored four acclaimed non-fiction books chronicling the franchise's production history and contributed commentaries for the Blu-Ray releases of Star Trek: The Motion Picture and Star Trek: The Final Frontier.
In feature films, their adaptation of Escape from Furnace, based on Alexander Gordon Smith's bestselling horror/sci-fi novel series, was scheduled to begin production in 2018 with producers Will Packer, Shaun Redick, XYZ Films, and Lay-Carnagey Entertainment; it is planned as the first installment in a trilogy. For younger audiences, their recent work includes Aliens Ate My Homework for Universal, adapted from Bruce Coville’s Rod Allbright & The Galactic Patrol YA novels. The first Galactic Patrol movie premiered as a Netflix Original in March 2018, and the Reeves-Stevens are currently developing the sequel, I Left My Sneakers in Dimension X.

Their previous novel from Thomas Dunne Books, Search, is a "forbidden history" thriller combining cutting-edge science with relentless suspense in a thrilling quest to uncover humanity's secret origins. Publishers Weekly described it as "a fine archaeological quest novel" that "smoothly blends a fast-moving fantasy plot with a solid scientific backdrop," praising its smart, suspenseful writing and compelling concept.
Beyond television, film, and novels, Judith and Garfield collaborate regularly with Disney Imagineers. For Shanghai Disneyland Resort, which opened in 2016, they served as Lead Land Writers, developing concepts, stories, and attractions for the Adventure Isle section. More recently, they have contributed to creating entire park concepts and future attractions for Disney Asia and acted as Lead Story Consultants for EPCOT’s 40th Anniversary in 2022.
Originally science and technology educators, Judith and Garfield began their writing careers with a background in education. They participated in a NASA Space Policy Workshop alongside notable figures such as Jet Propulsion Laboratory Director Dr. Charles Elachi, NASA Chief Scientist astronaut John Grunsfeld, and filmmaker James Cameron. They hold dual U.S. and Canadian citizenship and work primarily in Los Angeles, Vancouver, and Toronto.
