Tiago Arakilian has over 20 years of experience as a movie director, director of photography, editor, and post-production supervisor. He has produced hundreds of commercials, institutional videos, and feature films. In 2004, he moved to France and earned a Film degree from Université Paris 8. Upon returning to Brazil, he founded Titânio Produções, a post-production company involved in several prestigious film projects, including documentaries like "Devoção" by Sérgio Sanz and "Waste Land" by Lucy Walker, João Jardim, and Karen Harley, which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature in 2011. His work also includes feature films such as "A Falta que Nos Move" by Cristiane Jatahy and "Malu de Bicicleta" by Flávio Tambellini. In 2013, Tiago produced the comedy "Mato sem Cachorro," which attracted over one million viewers. His most recent documentary on Brazilian architecture, "The Roberto Brothers," premiered at Brazil's leading documentary festival, É Tudo Verdade, and was shown at the Première Brasil at the Rio Film Festival in 2012. The film was acquired by Canal Brasil, has been broadcast since April 2014, and is available on Amazon.com. "Before I Forget" marks Tiago’s debut as a feature film creator and director (produced by Fox/Disney/Globo Filmes/Imagem). It premiered in the US at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and was screened at the Shanghai International Film Festival, Cinequest Festival, the 41st São Paulo International Film Festival, among more than 30 other international festivals. In 2019, Tiago directed an episode of the Chinese series KIDS and GLORY. He has also directed the documentary series EXPATS, which tells remarkable stories of immigrants; the first season was filmed in Paris, and he is currently living and shooting the second season in New York. In the meantime, he directed the documentary "Inhotim From Within" and the documentary series "Brazilian Beats" in 2022.
