James Genn is a film and television writer, producer, and director from Vancouver, Canada. Over a thirty-year career, he has directed and produced hundreds of hours of TV series, pilots, and feature films. His credits include multiple episodes of Wild Cards, The Good Doctor, Ginny and Georgia, Charmed, The Hardy Boys, Ransom, Rookie Blue, Call Me Fitz, and Kim's Convenience, as well as several TV pilots like Wild Cards, House Party, and Seed. He is also known for the beloved feature film Old Stock and the award-winning short film The Dog Walker. Growing up surrounded by art, photography, music, and film, James developed a collection of charming, quirky comedy films in his twenties that screened at festivals worldwide. He has brought his distinctive voice and high-quality work to nearly every genre and has been honored by the Canadian Screen Awards, Genie, Gemini, DGC awards, and received the inaugural Philip Borsos Award for his work spanning comedies, genre pieces, procedurals, and dramas.
