Jimmy Jax Pinchak, originally from New Jersey, is both a musician and actor. He recorded his debut rhythm and blues album at the renowned Westlake Studios in Los Angeles and recently finished filming Gavin Hood's Ender's Game, where he played "Peter Wiggin" alongside Harrison Ford, Ben Kingsley, and Viola Davis.
Pinchak has always embraced a Renaissance spirit, eager to master multiple skills. Musically, this meant not limiting himself to a single instrument. After hearing The Beatles at age eight, he learned bass, drums, and harmonica, though guitar remains his main instrument. His musical inspirations include BB King, Robert Johnson, Eric Clapton, and Bob Dylan. Beyond his instrumental talents, Pinchak is a skilled vocalist and lyricist, often praised for his poetic and soulful style.
He has performed at various Los Angeles venues, including CBS Studios and the Sherman Oaks Summer Festival, where his blend of rock and blues consistently stands out. In 2010, he began working with veteran music manager Martha Troup, known for managing the iconic band INXS. Pinchak’s acting career is equally impressive, having collaborated with notable figures such as Tom Hanks in The Polar Express and Bruce Willis in Hostage. His television work includes three series regular roles, including on the critically acclaimed FX series Over There and a recurring role on Men Of A Certain Age. He also demonstrated his versatility in the Matt Reeves film Let Me In.
