Paul McCarthy-Boyington grew up in inner-city San Francisco, deeply influenced by the arts from an early age as the son of artists Carrell McCarthy and Paul Boyington.
Raised in the Mission District, he began performing with a break-dancing crew, which led his parents to enroll him in jazz, ballet, and modern dance classes. These dance experiences eventually expanded into acting and music lessons.
A versatile performer, Paul brings a unique flair to acting, music, writing, and filmmaking. His upbringing in San Francisco provided a diverse education in both arts and sports. As a teenager, he created experimental films at the San Francisco Art Institute while directing plays at his high school. Athletically, he earned multiple awards in basketball, baseball, and soccer. Summers spent in Los Angeles immersed him further in acting, music, and dance.
Paul's career encompasses a wide variety of roles in television, film, voice-over work, commercials, and theater, earning him multiple Best Actor awards at film festivals.
He has been fortunate to work alongside renowned talents such as Allison Janney, Walton Goggins, Jesse Plemons, Omari Hardwick, Max Greenfield, Steve Ogg, Mandy Patinkin, Kevin Alejandro, Ernie Hudson, Peter Coyote, Alfred Molina, and Rutger Hauer.
In addition, Paul performs with his eclectic band Galactic Flo, featured in the Netflix comedy/horror film Chastity Bites and an LA Metro commercial.
An avid surfer, skier, trail biker, fly fisher, tennis and basketball player, Paul also has a passion for travel, cooking, painting, reading, and advocating for social justice.
