传
Rodrigo is an independent non conventional filmmaker from Mexico. He is mainly known for creating experimental pieces and video-installations, but has also worked on independent film documentaries that address topics ranging from the absurd and black humor to social activism. He holds a Bachelors degree in advertising and a Masters degree in education, which explains why his directing and editing techniques are unconventional in the industry. His projects have won prizes around Mexico and Latin America; most notably: his first feature-length documentary, "Frágiles por fuera, fuertes por dentro", about handicapped people, won the main prize at the Zanate Documentary Film Festival in Mexico, and his short documentary "El Hoyo Funky" was showcased at the XX Biennale of Santa Cruz Bolivia and several festivals around the world. His latest documentary film "Entre Bastidores: 30 artists in their studios" was co-directed alongside Juan Pablo Martínez and premiered at Guillermo del Toro's Venue at the Instituto Cultural Cabañas in México. He is now travelling through Europe working on a new video-installation and a feature length documentary.
