Craig Watkinson, a New Jersey native, studied in the BFA program at Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University. Afterward, he toured Europe with the Shoestring Players before relocating to New York City.
In New York, he performed in theater productions, soap operas—most notably a recurring role on One Life to Live—independent films, and commercials. He later moved to Los Angeles, where he appeared in films such as Judgment Night, Undiscovered, and Learning to Surf, as well as television series including Criminal Minds, Big Love, and Without a Trace.
His first feature as a writer, director, and producer was "The Cure" (2003). The film earned the International Best Dramatic Motion Picture award at the Twisted Sinema Film Festival in Toronto, Canada, where Craig also received the International Best Actor in a Dramatic Motion Picture honor. Additionally, the movie won an award at the Memphis Digital Arts Film Festival, and Craig was recognized as Best Actor - Director's Choice at the LA MiniDV Festival.
After balancing acting and teaching for more than seven years, Craig resumed acting full-time in summer 2013. Since then, he has appeared in over fifteen projects, including leading roles in the sci-fi drama Borrowed Time, Justin Grizzoffi's buddy road comedy Speedwagon, and Chris Lilly's dramedy web series Just Us Guys.
