Jurgita Jurkute is an actress and TV host from Eastern Europe, born in Lithuania. She completed her acting studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2012. Her career started in 2008 with the popular Lithuanian TV series "Moterys meluoja geriau" (Women Are Better Liars). Later, she appeared in the Italian TV series "I serchi nell'acqua," directed by Umberto Marino and starring Alessio Boni and Vanessa Incontrada. After graduating, Lithuanian director Agne Marcinkeviciute invited her to portray Atali in the detective series "Vardas tamsoje" (A Name in the Dark) in 2013. In 2014, she acted in the Lithuanian feature film "Pakeliui" (On the Way), directed by Ricardas Marcinkus, and in the cult Lithuanian comedy "Valentinas už durų" (Valentine Is Behind the Door), directed by Evaldas Kubilius. In 2016, she had a supporting role in the Russian feature film "The Heritage of Love," directed by Aleksandr Vasilev and starring Aleksandr Baluev, Marat Basharov, Dima Bilan, Svetlana Ivanova, Tatyana Liutaeva, and Vladislav Vetrov. Her most recent leading role was in the film "Tobulas pasimatymas" (The Perfect Date), released in early 2020, directed by Robertas Razma and featuring Leonardas Pobedonoscevas, Eimutis Kvosciauskas, Goda Petkute, and Giedrius Arbaciauskas. In addition to acting, Jurgita is a well-known Lithuanian TV host involved in major television projects in the country. She is also actively engaged in several suicide prevention initiatives. Jurgita speaks Lithuanian, English, Russian, and some Spanish.
